What is Raw Food?

Food that is not heated above 48c. Below this temperature, the natural enzymes in food are still intact, meaning your body does not have to use its own store of enzymes to digest food.

What are the benefits of a Raw Food Diet?

Live enzymes are the life force of all foods. These vital enzymes allow us to fully digest our foods without having to rely on our own digestive enzymes. The cooking process destroys or alters these enzymes, as well as essential vitamins and minerals. Cooked foods take longer to digest and clog up our digestive system and arteries with partially digested fats, proteins and carbohydrates.

Some of the health benefits you may experience from a Raw Food Diet:

  • Increased energy
  • Improved appearance of skin
  • Better digestion
  • Weight loss
  • Disease prevention – a Raw Food Diet may reduce your chances of developing heart disease and inflammatory diseases

The Raw Food Diet generally includes:

  • Beans
  • Dried fruits
  • Fresh fruits and vegetables
  • Freshly made fruit and vegetable juices
